Special Group Creation and Leadership

Encore: A group I created at the Atchison Juvenile Correctional Facility for offenders returning to the prison after re-offending in the community. It was developed to help juvenile prisoners collect themselves and redouble their efforts to correct negative behavior.
Houses of healing: A weekly group I created at the Larned Juvenile Correctional Facility for highly violent and challenged offenders. It had sections on medication, child abuse helps for victims AND offenders, addiction recovery, trust, social interaction, religious abuse, stress reduction, family dynamics, self esteem, and holistic recovery.
drugs, sex and you: A group I created at the Atchison Juvenile Correctional Facility for troubled teens having drug/alcohol problems as well as various inappropriate sexual issues.
Teen Dads: Because of a significant number of teenage fathers incarcerated at the time, I wrote a book for teen fathers found by clicking the icon at left.
Dads' Class Workbook
couples club: Monthly group I developed as a pastor in Lenora, KS, for husbands and wives dealing with issues involving child rearing, marriage reinforcement, communication, and trust.
Getting out: By juvenile offender request, I created materials for teen gangsters wanting to get out of their gang . . . . alive.
targeted bible study: Weekly Bible Study at the Larned Juvenile Correctional Facility using presentation methods, explanations, stories and examples common and comfortable with contemporary juvenile offenders "off the streets."

joyful noise choir: I cannot sing or play a musical instrument; but, when the prison school could not provide Fine Arts into the curriculum, I created and led a "choir for people who cannot sing" composed of inmates and teachers. We performed at prison banquets, graduations, and special events.
